Program Kepanduan

Character Building   >    Program Kepanduan

Established in 2010, the Scouts Movement in Al Irsyad Satya was under the coordination of the Pupil Development and Islamic Studies (PDIS) department. Though at that time it was still a pilot project, the first internal Scout Rally was successfully conducted in Rancaupas, Ciwidey from 13 to 14 May 2011.

Since then, the AIS Scout Movement has grown actively and participated in various events such as Scout Rallies, external Scout Competitions, and even International Scout Events. We received the official Scout Unit Identity Number: 08169 – 18170 from Gerakan Pramuka – the official National Scout Movement of Indonesia. So far, AIS Scout Movement is constituted with four scouting units: Cub-Brownie, Boys Scout-Girls Guide, and Rover-Ranger.

In July 2015, 14 Irsyadian Boy Scouts and 2 Scout leaders became part of the Indonesian Contingent in the 23rd World Scout Jamboree in Kirara-Hama, Yamaguchi, Japan. The 12 day camp was held from Tuesday, 28 July to Saturday, 8 August and was attended by 33,000 participants from around the globe.

17 months after the World Jamboree, AIS Scout Movement took part in another international Scout event. It was the Hong Kong Scout 105th Anniversary Jamboree held in Penny’s Bay, Lantau Island, Hong Kong. In this five day camp, 50 Irsyadian Scouts and its five leaders participated in various activities that embed the spirit of the World Scout Movement.

At Hong Kong, we had several areas to cover such as the Scoutcrafts and Fellowship area (got into an outing tour, be involved in Unity Challenge, and hand-made some Scoutcrafts), the Youth Participation area and the Sustainable Development area in how to create a better living environment by wisely managing and using the energy resources.

Not only did all Irsyadians receive the special ‘105 Challenger’ badges as reward for their active participation, they were also awarded as the Most Disciplined and Well-Mannered campers. This was to add prestige that Irsyadians were the only representative of the National Scout Movement of Indonesia, Gerakan Pramuka. We did Indonesia proud!

Scouting is our niche programme. We plan to build better programmes so that we can produce better leaders for tomorrow.
